WINNER:
Marica Marković from the Institute of Medical Biochemistry, Clinical Center of Serbia in Belgrade (Serbia) is the WINNER of Balkan Award 2007. with the article titled  "Short-term hyperthermia prevents activation of proinflammatory genes in fibroblast-like synoviocytes by blocking the activation of the transcription factor nf-?b"

FINALIST:
Christina Kostara from the Laboratory of Clinical Chemistry of
Medical School of University of Ioannina (Greece ) as finalist with the
article titled "Investigation of lipidemic profile in patients with coronary
heart disease (chd) by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1h nmr)
spectroscopy and pattern-recognition techniques".
